I always break out before a big event, kind of big pores - i would like a really nice clean tight face before the big day, what kind of routine should I start? Should i have anything spefic done at a spa? What kind of beauty routine do I follow before my wedding?
I agree with Theninjette. Don't start anything new. If you normally have clear skin, keep your same regimen.
If you know you break out with stress, try to stay as relaxed as possible-duh. Figure out way to control your stress levels-breathing, exercise, a mental happy place, etc.
Get a lot of sleep, keep your hands and hair out of your face (they carry dirt and oil) and drink, drink, drink water to flush away toxins.
If you do break out, have a dermatologist available-there are treatments out there for ';emergencies';, but they are usually expensive.
Your new life is much more important than a pimple or two...Congratulations and enjoy your big day! What kind of beauty routine do I follow before my wedding?
I've heard its a bad idea to start trying new products and procedures close to your wedding day, as it may turn out to give you an allergic reaction and that would NOT be good. But then again I don't know how far away the big day is. My suggestion is to get into a good wash, exfoliate, tone and moisturize routine. I like natural products - but find something you like. My favorite exfoliator is St. Ives apricot scrub - you can get that at drug stores. For moisturizer I like Aveeno Positively Radiant - it has an SPF 15, soy protein and helps prevent breakouts while moisturizing your skin.
Drink plenty of water, avoid eating junk food and eat vitamin rich foods for the weeks before like tomatoes, fresh spinach, avocado, citrus fruit, salmon and almonds. Congratulations and enjoy your special day!
