How can I check the expiration date of a beauty product?

How do i check out the expiration date of a beauty product? Originally packaging is not available; the bottle does not have the manufacturing date as well. Only the batch number. I want to know if my Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 is still okay for use as well as my Kanebo Sensai Lotion II. Thanks!How can I check the expiration date of a beauty product?

A lot of beauty products have symbol on the back or bottom of the bottle that looks like a half open jar with a number in it. This indicates how many months the product is good for after you open it. I know clinique has these but not sure about the other. If you can't find it, then i would say the clarifying lotion will be good for about a year (or until the alcohol evaporates) and the lotion 1-2 if it is in a pump container. If it is a jar then make sure it does not have any funny smells or discoloration before you use it. If the lotion has antioxidants like vitamin C it is only good for about 6 months.
