How has photography changed the people's perspective of beauty from past to present?

I'm doing a term paper on this topic. Although scientific studies have shown otherwise, beauty is mainly subjective. Please include some sort of resource that I could use and your own opinion, your help would be much appreciated :). Also add any information you know on the history of photographing people as well. I've done a ton of research but falling short on actual information. Thank you.How has photography changed the people's perspective of beauty from past to present?
I don't think photography on it's own has changed people's perspective of beauty from past to present. Photography has simply illustrated those changes mainly brought about by sociological and fashion changes through the ages. It could be argued that photography may have encouraged people to aspire to or emulate the role models that photography has portrayed as being beautiful but the fundamental changes of perspective are usually partly created by fashion designer's choice of models and partly by popular celebrities of the day.

Not only is the perspective of beauty subjective, it should be borne in mind that it is also dependant on ethnic and regional differences.
