What do you think of entering a 3 year old girl in a beauty pageant?

i'm not saying i am. It's just that i think it can hurt a girl's self confidence at a young age. i've wanted to know a few of other peoples opinions on it for quite some time. I feel like your trying to turn a little girl that should be making mud pies in the woods is losing her young life to be turned into miny-barbie dolls. I think that pageants are wonderful. My mother put me into pageants when I was 3 months old. I am 14 and still in them. They are fun and a really great experience. I have a lot of self confidence, trust me. I also sing, dance, act, and do gymnastics. I have a 4.0 GPA, skipped a grade, started kindergarten a year early, have a lot of friends, and have a lot of self confidence. Trust me, it hasn't ever broken me and my mom pushes me to win and I do! You don't even know how great it is, yo uare jus tjudging. Who cares about Jon Benet, every other girl is NOT her.





I WAS able to be a kid. I have art projects and pictures of me painting, playing in the dirt, playing in the sand, running around, just being a kid. Sure, yo uahve to practice and get ready for pageants, but they are not all day every day, and I do a lot of pageants. Seriously, how would you even know?
It's pretty much my opinion too. We are in too much of a hurry to have our babies grow up. It's the baby beauty pageants, the ';girls gone wild'; crap, and all the stuff like that, that are ruining our little girls. Then they grow up to be bitches. Sorry, but they do.
I think it's a bit twisted. I think children should be allowed to be children. They should be finger painting and swinging on the swings, not wearing makeup and being put on display.
Well, I don't think they should put all that make-up on them. I mean, they are 3 year olds for pete's sake!!! But, I think it's cute as long as they don't look too old for their age...
