Why is darkness and black associated with so many bad things? Why do scary stories always start with ';it was a dark and stormy night';. Why does god say come into the light and not the darkness?
Why is a bad day in history called a black day indeed?
Why are teeth considered healthy if they are white and diseased if they are black?
I`m already anticipating being called a cracker, but really if thats the only the bad thing you can say about white then I`m doing OK.Why is snow white a beautiful girl and black beauty is a horse?
Well there are various things of negativity %26amp; positivity that simply are true.Teeth ARE just healthy if they're pearl white.Fungi DOES grow in dark places.
On the other hand, darkness is also tied to things of higher consideration.
Take for instance, carbon being the basis of much life on our planet %26amp; being black in color as it is.
There's then the ability black materials possess of absorbing energy w/ various chemical structures at it's disposal.
Melanin can even conduct electricity in a nondisruptive manner.
White also represents things of positivity like snow.Everyone has once loved or continues to love snow. It's cool (figuratively and literally).
It also can spell negativity.Don't consume paint children!LOL I actually can't even think of anything but Oh well! Why is snow white a beautiful girl and black beauty is a horse?
I think you can answer your own questions but you need to learn the positive instead of the negative.Black Beauty was viewed as a strong beautiful creature with a shiny black coat of hair. The horse has a strong pysical presence but also a strong spirit which is very beautiful.Black can also be of beautiful taste-Blackberries,Blackberry molasses,Blackberry Cobbler.White can be associated with negativity also-White Collar Crime.Don't anticipate what you do not want to happen.I am white plus other races but would definently not love life if it was not of color.Color(and yes-chocolate) makes the world go round. You got a lot to learn kid.
The original story of Snow White begins with her mother sewing in front of a window looking at the snow. The window frame is black. She pricks her finger and sees the red blood. The white signifies the purity of a virgin, and the blood signifies the death of the purity like when a woman bleeds after having sex the first time. The mother saw these three colors together and thought '; wouldn't it be nice to have a daughter with skin as white as snow, black hair like the window frame, and lips as red as blood.
I know this sounds messed up, but the original fairytales teach children values on a subconscious level, before disney came around.
Interesting stuff from Bruno Bettleheim's book The Uses of Enchantment
Becuase our world is Eurocentric. People can say that Black was always considered ugly, scary, evil and White was always considered beautiful, good, pure but it was not so. Many cultures before the Eurocentricness took over and they were colonized believed White was the color of death and/or evil and Black was pure and good.
As for why these two stories are so vastly different. When it is White it is a person and a beautiful girl and when it is Black, the only Black beauty is a horse is the same reason any movie with Africa in the title is about a ship or animals. I once heard a title called the African Queen. I got all excited, finally a mainstream story about African royalty. It was about a ship. lol
Our media pretends Africa and it's people don't exist. Black beauty is a horse, Africa in Disney movies is the only continent run by animals. No people royalty or beauty there.
Dark rich soil is what helps to grow vibrant healthy vegetation.
Dark rich blood means more hemoglobin which shows more oxygen in the blood and will contribute in keeping the human body strong.
Black diamond is unique and the rarest form of the carbon family and highly sought after.
White flag means to surrender or give up.
Because darkness, and the color of dark brown skin are not one in the same. It has just been made to seem that way- to condition the minds of people to associate 'evil connotations'; with being a darker skinned people. See the fallacy? Just the same, purity does not eqaute ';white.'; Purity is purity- light flesh tone, is just that- light skin. not one in the same. But been made to seem that way.
snow white, to me wasn't that beautiful. jasmine is a beauty.
black was always considered darker, i guess cause on a stormy night, its dark %26amp; god says come into the light, because he is the light, because white teeth is how they came %26amp; if there not white, there not healthy. i guess its just life. black is sexy, whats better a white dress or a black one?
Meanwhile Snow White is a goth girls goddess!
Black has always been romantic to me and it really isn't just me go see any Tim Burton film!
It doesn't get better than ';it was a dark and stormy night';
Cmon your searching to hard here cracka ;D am I truly the only one who thinks thats actually kind of cute?
Your point? Are you trying to refer to race and skin color here? Because it doesn't work as no one is truly ';black skinned'; dummy
and hey genius, God made humans out of soil, soil is brown! Where did the lighter shades come from? With your ';reasoning'; i'd have to say anyone lighter than soil isn't normal. Seriously dude, start over, just go back to pre school
