Only in Gaza. The rest has been heavily ';made over'; by the jews. What are some areas of Palestine that have retained their natural pre-zionist beauty?
I agree with Bahira, and I'll add the heart of Palestenians Christians and Muslims did not and will not change unless they die.
Galahad, I honestly couldn't tell you...but since you've no answers to your question, I'm guessing they've all been ';modernized'; (You know, ruined by strip malls and such) by you-know-who...:(
Edit to Badgirl: of COURSE it's ';greener'; now; Israel steals all the water from the River Jordan.
Do you know what the land looked like before the first Zionish movement? It was dirt and dust. Mark Twain stood above the moutain at Kinneret(now known as Mark Twain Hill) and said this land is barren. It was a desert, now there are trees, lush greenery, wild life, and does not even resemble Mark Twains recollection. I grew up with Palistinian friends and they say the same thing, they were better off selling their homes there and starting businesses in the US. They are now one members of a very affluent Palistinian community in North Jersey.
there are still some areas that have not been decimated, the natural beauty of the land takes over,in most places you can still see original stone built houses, usually in the country side, set amongst olive, and lemon groves.a lot of roman architecture is still standing, remains of bridges, viaducts, and villas.the mountainous areas are breath-taking, you can forget the conflict, and see how the land must have looked in the time of Jesus(pbuh),beauty like this cannot be permanently destroyed, its constantly renewing, and will be here long after we are gone.
Well there is Al-Tawani they have stone houses there. Beit Iksa is suppose to be really beautiful. And Battir is so beautful(maybe the most beautiful) but I don't really know how it looks inside the villages I just know that the landscape is really beautiful. And there are so many other villages but those are the only names I can remember right now.
