I mean think about it people see beauty as different things, everyone has different takes on beauty. We can't make the world like us so why shouldn't apply to physical attraction too? I mean even if you think you're pretty or whatever that doesn't mean people will like you does it?Is beauty really in the eye of the beholder?
Perhaps this quote is trying to imply it not literally that way of having such beautiful eyes. Those eyes are windows of inner spirit or of the heart of the beholder, It tells a lot when expressing something from oneself. These expressions are commonly felt from one's eyes.
The beauty really comes from inside your heart that those eyes can tell more of it. Mostly than words can ever do.
People will like true confidence that they may feel to others. But not conceit that makes it entirely different of how the way one feels or expresses her or his own beauty for oneself and to others. Is beauty really in the eye of the beholder?
Scientists have studied this question. They had men of different races pick out the beautiful female faces who also represented all races, and the men chose the same faces as being beautiful (regardless of race)
One of the elements of beauty is symmetry, and babies are extremely drawn to symmetry and repelled by things that look chaotic. In other words, even infants recognize beauty.
Physical beauty is much easier to assess than inner beauty is. Physical beauty is a clue to overall health and fertility, so we are also biologically programmed to prefer it. Women, however, are much more attuned to status when it comes to males; a powerful ugly man may have many more lovers than a poor handsome guy.
So what? So, there is spousal abuse in our country does it mean that spousal abuse ought to be permitted from the fact that its going on? Racial discrimination is a fact that occurs, but does it follow that because that there IS racial discrimination that there OUGHT to be racial discrimination? No. Does it follow, then, that because there are different perspectives on beauty that beauty ought to be reduced to a subjective interpretation? No. Secondly, so what if there are different perspectives on beauty. There have been different perspectives on the nature of the earth (whether it was flat or round); in fact, there are still probably some indigenous tribes who believe the earth is flat or that the sun revolves around the earth. But, simply because there were different perspectives on the earth's nature you wouldn't then believe that it follows that knowledge of earth's nature is only a matter of a persons perspective would you? Of course not. So there are differences in perspective, but this also assumes people cannot be wrong about what we believe or perceive to be the case. Unfortunately, it's just contrary to fact--people error in what they believe and perceive as has been shown by the ';earth analogy';. So, such arguments as these cannot justify the claim ';beauty is in the eye of the beholder';.
NO IT ISN'T!!!!!!
Beauty is a learned and taught subject. You learn by osmosis or you are taught by one who knows the subject but it is not in the eye of the beholder.
ONES PERSONAL TASTES %26amp; AESTHETICS ARE IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.
But if beauty is in the eye of the beholder then what the hell are we doing with art schools, art gallaries, museums of art, and even academic studies of the visual arts? What are we doing with them and why are they here?
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder then we would not require the muses nor the curators for what we want for our aesthetics about our home, business, or personal attire. After all, it would all be in the eye of the beholder now wouldn't it?
yes it is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Some of the women and men in the public eye who are considered very beautiful or 'hot' by the general public I find totally repulsive.
Too skinny, overly made up, eyes like a dead fish, phoney
smiles. In the real world if we meet someone who we think is maybe not fantastically good looking and then we get to know them and find out they are really nice, fun, kind and great friends authomatically they become better looking to us. Scientists have proven this in studies over and over.
IT'S ALSO SKIN DEEP, which means.
What's very SWEET, COOL, NICE and TASTY on the outside may be BITTER, SCALDINGLY HOT orthe MOST LETHAL POISON ON THE INSIDE.
So NEVER, accept what is on the outside, for free. ALWAYS TEST/SAMPLE or TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.
Most people see the beauty first, personality second ,first impressions last.
What about inner beauty, thats what attracts people isn't it ?Unless it is a superficial desire
Yes, but our eyes usually don't see things all that differently. There is a definite pattern to what most people find beautiful or aesthetically pleasing.
yeah it kinda does i mean different people have different taste such as in relgion culture personliaty how they dress and other factors that contribute to who they like
not at all. being appealing to the eye is one thing but people are attracted to positive energy. therefore you must have a beautiful soul :)
...i thought it was the camera, its their photograph that captivates the world of beauty!
My idea of beauty is very different from most people's.
beauty is a broad topic.
it can not be easily justified with a statement.
