Im auditioning for the musical Beauty and the Beast in a few months and i want to get to work on an audition song. I plan on auditioning for the part of the Beast, which is a rich, baritone voice. Any suggestions?What would be a good audition song for Beauty and the Beast?
Don't sing Music of the Night! It's very overdone and also not suitable for that role - while the voice type is similar, the style is wrong. Look for another Alan Menken song - he wrote the music for BATB and you're always best to find another song by the same composer but from a different show wherever possible. He's written a lot of good songs so see what you can find that you like.What would be a good audition song for Beauty and the Beast?
Maybe ';Santa Fe'; from Newsies...but that's more like tenor, rather than baritone...and it might not have the right feel for the Beast. But I would look into more Alan Menken music.
