How to keep my beauty when I smoke?
I smoke 2-3 cigarettes a day.I'm afraid of my nails and teeth become yellow and my skin become ugly.
I know smoking is bad. But it really helps me to release.
Please advise me how to keep my beauty. How to keep my beauty when I smoke?
Don't worry about it, mostly. If you only smoke 2 or 3 cigarettes a day, you aren't really smoking.
If you increase up to a pack a day or more, then use Oil of Olay on your face twice a day, and have your teeth cleaned at the dentist every 6 months and use a whitener in between. How to keep my beauty when I smoke?
The negatives seriously outweigh the positives when it comes to smoking and if lung cancer and death isn't enough for some, then losing your looks often spurs people into thinking twice.
There is special remedies to take away these side effects. You could whiten your teeth but you'll have to repeat the process every couple of months, your skin will wrinkle, especially around your mouth, you can use wrinkle cream or even have plastic surgery but it won't prevent it from happening again.
My advice, kick the cigs!
There isn't its gonna age you fast, your teeth are gonna look bad and you smell. Seriously smokers smell so bad especially after they smoke.
Get a hobbie to release. The reason you smoke is because you have to much time on your hands. Go work out go play a sport do something to release. Plus smoking just aint sexy.
drinking a lot of water is the only key...
its helps remove all the toxins that settle in your body..
i used to smoke more than 20 cigs in a day..
have quit it though!!
2-3 is ok.. dont let it get more..
its really tough to quit!!!!!!!!
By not smoking. It is both bad for your health and complexion , other than smoking, why don't you try out other activities that can help you to ';release';?
brush your teeth frequently with a special smokers whitening tooth paste.. drink lots and lots of water..use filters when you smoke.. keep your nails polished(cuz you can't change that they'll turn yellow).. always moisturize your skin all the time.
:)
Well, their is no way to keep your beauty when you smoke. You'll smell bad, your nails and teeth turn yellow, and your lungs turn black. QUIT!!!!!!!
Quit smoking is the best beauty advice you can get.
brush your teeth everytime you smoke.
keep your nails painted
Cleanse and moisterize your skin
but most of all, QUIT SMOKING!
Grow a third boob, that's about the only thing that would make me think a smoker was attractive.
theres no way. smoking is a da** waste of money and it's horrible for your health STOP SMOKINGN STOP SMOKING STOP SMOKING!!!!!
drink more milk ;) its good 4 skin, nails, teeth %26amp; ure pulmonary ;)
give up the fag! x

What are the negative effects on the children of child beauty pageants?
I am doing a debate on wheather or not parants should be allowed to enter their children in beauty pageants. My team is the negative side of the debate. I hope anyone out there with an opinion on this subject can help me with this. Thank you. What are the negative effects on the children of child beauty pageants?
Hrm...
It makes them see from a young age, that beauty is everything. Which in fact it isn't.
---
Just look at this sad case, which was on trading spouses
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQRBaBYoX鈥?/a>What are the negative effects on the children of child beauty pageants?
-Stress and negative self-evaluation which can lead to a number of mental and physical disorders as the children become older.
-easily influenced children developing issues with their appearance and self-esteem.
-Children must also practice in-depth for the interviews and talent portions of beauty contests, learning every word they speak or song.
-Children spend so much time in the world of beauty that they tend to neglect their schoolwork or even their playtime in exchange for an early entrance into an adult world.
-Dealing with the pressures of a pageant life.
-Hiding their true emotions.
-Child abuse through parents and public
Self esteem issues- never thinking you are good or pretty enough. Losing a pageant can be a huge deal and a huge blow to the ego
Eating disorders- most teens in pageants do in fact have eating disorders. Some are very serious
Becoming superficial. Thinking looks are the most important thing in life.. Never looking at anyone's character, and judging people solely on their looks
Over sexualizing children. 10 year olds wear 1 pound of makeup and small dresses. Why please pedophiles? Also, what is this teachingyoung girls? Wear makeup and dress fancy and you get attention
Pageants can become obsessive! Training and practice takes hours a week. This puts homework, chores, and other important things on neglect. Gives the impression that school is not important as long as you win this pageant!
Costs waay to much money! A lot of families actually lose homes and put off important bills in order to pay for the 1000 dollar dresses and personal training for their daughters. This is ridiculous
Pageants are a HORRIBLE idea.
a) It can make the child not learn the value of money. Kids win money in those competitions and for what? looking pretty? It conditions those kids to think they can get by on their looks alone.
b) They value looks to much. It can give them serious complexes when they're older (eating disorders, low self esteem, etc).
excellent question.. there has been studies of traumatic effects on children entered in beauty pageants. they are taught at a young age that beauty is everything and that people will judge them based on appearance.
hope that helpedddd =]
Okay, this was the best i could do:
they get a big head and get all vain
they grow up being really fake
the siblings will always feel bad about themselves
It tears the family apart parents might end up favoring one child
and ...yea
They shouldn't do that to the children at such a young age! The children shouldn't be exposed to all of that. I think it's ridiculous!tarte

How have standards of beauty changed throughout history?
For example, today being relatively slim is considered good looking, but back in the Middle Ages peasants would use pillows to appear fatter, and therefore healthier and richer, since this meant that they could afford to eat.How have standards of beauty changed throughout history?
it's different in all different cultures. in some parts of africa girls are force fed to make them fatter, while some western women starve themselves so be thin. in thailand women are considered beautiful if they're pale so they don't go out in the sun, but some western women are orange lol
so it really depends what culture you're talking about.
it used to be all about showing how wealthy you were, now wealth is less important and it's about perfect features and large - ahem - attributes
make up and clothes tend to revolve around showing you have things which are desirable - fun could be conveyed with bright clothes and stuff like thatHow have standards of beauty changed throughout history?
yes the standards of beauty has changed! but it really depends on what culture you're talking about. but overall yes. as you said a people used to try to be/look fatter. this was because it showed that you were rich and could afford the food. but now if you're fat people think that it's because you have no discipline or will power not to eat. being skinny is now a sign of achievement!

How much can the physique of a man affect his beauty?
Is physique the only basis for determining men's beauty? What are the others? How much can the physique of a man affect his beauty?
Physical fit is undeniably one of them because that is always what you see first when you look at a guy, you don't look over and be like oh, he looks like he has a nice personality. But of course being physically fit does not equal beauty. There are others factors i.e Personality, manners, etiquette, style, talents, the way he dresses, talks, acts, intelligence, financial stability etc.How much can the physique of a man affect his beauty?
They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is beautiful to one person wouldn't be to another. I think that the overall person, inside and out, mind and body make up real beauty. Not just the physique. I've met some really hunk-a-licious guys that turned out to be the most UGLY men on the face of this planet (because the rotten inside of them made the outside ugly too). Not to say that a nice looking package isn't helpful... but if the contents of a box is rotten, it's no good, no matter how pretty the outside is decorated.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Different people find different features attractive. those features are what make someone appear ';beautiful'; to any one specific person.

Why is fashion and beauty more important?
Now adays every city finds only white colour/fair sex as beauty queens and chosen in every field of work, and other sex is discouraged, whereby married couples also facing depression and divorce and suiciding, who is to blame? Why is fashion and beauty more important?
Who told you?
The persons ,both males and females who has changed the very face of human history were not always fare and beautiful.
This proves outer beauty shouldn't b considered important.
The concept of the society must be changed.....If it does, it can give confidence to a lot of people..Why is fashion and beauty more important?
S the concept of the society must change, thanks for the comment, but u will still find more than 60% after colour . Report Abuse
What are you talking about? Vanessa Williams was Miss America in 1984. If women of color tend to avoid entering beauty contests, good for them! Being considered beautiful is FAR LESS important than being intelligent or kind. After all, beauty fades and fades fast, and it certainly isn't a guarantee of happiness (look at Christie Brinkley)
As for the rest of your question, I can't even figure out where you were going. What connection do you see between ';fashion and beauty'; and ';depression and divorce and suicide';? And what does it have to do with marriage?
hi,you are 100% right and i do agree with your view of your query. for example ,many business comany gives first preference to a fair and good looking women or girls[rather than man] to represent there company's business activities coz in current business world it seems that a fashionable girl or women is more effective in handling tactical meeting or seminars for there company coz a beautiful lady makes many feel shy commenting on her company's presentation to be negative [ its a true fact ] and gets very good results in her company's growth.
although men are also and obviously effective ,but a women with the same or maybe even less qualified is more effective .
About married couples its coz of ladies preference rather than man in many fields does create complications of a man feeling that his wife is proceeding more fast than him and is showing attitude towards him[maybe she not] but this starts complications in there relation and ends in divorce or suicide etc.
bye
I don't know what you area talking about. Although there are still problems with discrimination, it is much less of a problem than it was 50 years ago.
Minorities can get good jobs and live anywhere they want to, and can get a good education. In the military discrimination has been wiped out.

What does the phrase ';beauty for ashes'; mean?
I have the song on cd and its very beautiful, but I never really have understood what that phrase means. What does the phrase ';beauty for ashes'; mean?
Isa 61:3 -- ...to give unto them beauty for ashes...
';'In the Hebrew there is here a beautiful paronomasia, which cannot be transferred to our language - אפר תחת פאר pe'ēr tachath 'êpher. The word rendered ‘beauty’ (פאר pe'ēr) means properly a head-dress, turban, tiara, or diadem; and the idea is, that the Redeemer would impart to his mourning people such an ornament instead of the ashes which in their grief they were accustomed to easy on their heads. For the use of the word, see Isa_3:20; Isa_61:10; Exo_39:29; Eze_24:17-23. It was common among the Orientals to east dust and ashes upon their heads in time of mourning, and as expressive of their grief (compare the notes at Isa_57:5; 2Sa_13:19).'; -- Albert Barnes' Notes on the Bible
paronomasia: A play on words in which the same word is used in different senses. What does the phrase ';beauty for ashes'; mean?
To give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Isa. 61:3.
Millions went down to the grave loaded with infamy because they steadfastly refused to yield to the deceptive claims of Satan. . . . But now ';God is judge himself'; (Ps. 50:6). Now the decisions of earth are reversed. . . . They are no longer feeble, afflicted, scattered, and oppressed. Henceforth they are to be ever with the Lord.
They stand before the throne clad in richer robes than the most honored of the earth have ever worn. They are crowned with diadems more glorious than were ever placed upon the brow of earthly monarchs. The days of pain and weeping are forever ended. The King of glory has wiped the tears from all faces; every cause of grief has been removed. Amid the waving of palm branches they pour forth a song of praise, clear, sweet, and harmonious; every voice takes up the strain, until the anthem swells through the vaults of heaven: ';Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.';
In this life we can only begin to understand the wonderful theme of redemption. . . . Yet with the utmost stretch of our mental powers we fail to grasp its full significance. The length and the breadth, the depth and the height, of redeeming love are but dimly comprehended. The plan of redemption will not be fully understood, even when the ransomed see as they are seen and know as they are known; but through the eternal ages, new truth will continually unfold to the wondering and delighted mind. Though the griefs and pains and temptations of earth are ended and the cause removed, the people of God will ever have a distinct, intelligent knowledge of what their salvation has cost.
The cross of Christ will be the science and the song of the redeemed through all eternity. In Christ glorified they will behold Christ crucified. . . . As the nations of the saved look upon their Redeemer and behold the eternal glory of the Father shining in His countenance; as they behold His throne, which is from everlasting to everlasting, and know that His kingdom is to have no end, they break forth in rapturous song: ';Worthy, worthy is the Lamb that was slain, and hath redeemed us to God by His own most precious blood!';
Mercy, tenderness, and parental love are seen to blend with holiness, justice, and power. While we behold the majesty of His throne, high and lifted up, we see His character in its gracious manifestations, and comprehend, as never before, the significance of that endearing title, ';Our Father.';
God trades you Beauty (life) for ashes (death). He restores. You had ashes, the burnt waste of something that has been consumed. He gave you beauty.
When ones life is in ruins (ashes) Jesus Christ gives us a new life, if we want it.
Secularly, see ';phoenix'; in the dictionary.
It suggests Earthly pursuits are vain and temporary.

As the nations of the saved look upon their Redeemer and behold the eternal glory of the Father shining in His countenance; as they behold His throne, which is from everlasting to everlasting, and know that His kingdom is to have no end, they break forth in rapturous song: ';Worthy, worthy is the Lamb that was slain, and hath redeemed us to God by His own most precious blood!';
Mercy, tenderness, and parental love are seen to blend with holiness, justice, and power. While we behold the majesty of His throne, high and lifted up, we see His character in its gracious manifestations, and comprehend, as never before, the significance of that endearing title, ';Our Father.';

For foundation, I use a liquid cover-up first. I use Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. After that I use Maybelline Mineral Powder and Maybelline Mineral Blush to complete the natural skin tone. I have fair skin, and lighter hair. If you have darker hair and slightly darker or more 'olive' skin, I recommend using Bronzer to even out your skin tone even more.
For eyes, certain shadows and mascaras go with a certain eye color.
Blue eyes: Go with a blackish brown mascara or liner, and choose a golden brown or sandy caramel shadow.
Green eyes: Use a more subtle purple, brownish pink or salmon shadow, and a darker violet mascara and liner color.
Brown eyes: Slate blue and grey shadows compliment brown eyes, and plum will help them stand out more. Use a grey or blackish blue liner and mascara.
When using eye shadow, start with the lightest color first. Apply that color right below your eyebrow. Take another shimmering light color and put it near both the corners of your eyes. After that, use your eye-popping color in the area where you haven't applied any shadow, and make sure to blend that shade into the other colors to make a sheek look.
When you put on mascara, start from THE BASE of your lashes. After a couple of hours of wearing mascara near the end of your lashes, they may droop and create a 'tired' look.
When putting on eye liner, try to get it into the base of your eye lashes, too. This will make your eyes look bigger and brighter.
I don't use lip gloss or lip stick, but if you want to, I suggest choosing a more natural shade so it doesn't look tacky.
I really hope this helps. :)

What should I study if I want to become a beauty editor?
I have been a makeup artist for 13 years and I want to write for a magazine. I don't know where to start! What should I study if I want to become a beauty editor?
If you are interested in writing for a magazine, you will need to major in journalism at a four year college. Your specific area of interest would be writing. There you will take many courses in print journalism which will help you to become a better writer and have a chance at landing a job with a magazine. Writing for a magazine is very competitive so you should try to get as much experience as possible such as summer internships. What should I study if I want to become a beauty editor?
You need to study journalism, but you can get your start contributing articles or doing a column for free at an online magazine. Check out www.hilary.com and send them an email saying you want to contribute or do a daily column/blog. Great exposure and easy/fun to do.

How do i get my 2 yr old started with beauty pageants?
I live in mississippi and i would like for my daughter to compete in beauty pageants. What steps would i have to take to get her started? How do i get my 2 yr old started with beauty pageants?
check for local pageants online such as google or local tv channels

09!!!!!!How do i get my 2 yr old started with beauty pageants?
I was in a few pageants for the talent part really. I wanted a crown and sash to wear in the parade like the other girls in dance class. (we always twirled in parades) Look online for some ideas of what the girls actually wear. Plan on making the clothes yourself or spending $500 on each outfit. (It is that much) *Only go to reputable pageants that have been around for a while! They are a lot of fun and your daughter will love having a crown and trophy as a keepsake.
Don't go every other weekend and go bankrupt over them. 1 or 2 a year is plenty!
no offense, but i completely disagree with beuaty pageants for little girls. in todays society, we should be teaching our girls that beauty comes from within. Not from competing with other girls on the way they look. Put her in gymnastics, something that will get her moving, excersize and activity.
ok before i start i just want to say that i mean no rudeness to you or your daughter because i am a mom of a 20 month old... everyone tells me that i should put her in pagenents...she so beautiful.... but the way i see it is there can only be one ';winner'; that is to most beautiful and it is stupid i have never seen an ugly kid and at that age they should be worried about nothing... not being worried and tied up in pagenants they should be playing... and honestly i hate pagenants i think that they are one of the most self desructive things you could ever do to you child. do you really want someone you probably don't even know judge your daughter on her beauty? my view on it is that i don't need no **** body to tell me my child is beautiful. (and i am sure your babygirl is beautiful and if you do want to persue this then go ahead who am i to stop you but i just know that they aren't right for me and my family)
ok I am not going to waste my time letting you know what you need to do for me to gain a thumbs down fairy. Please feel free to im me or e-mail me at Cugini2006@yahoo.com and I will let you know my experiances with beauty pageants in the toddler area.
this is sick. i saw a little girl on tv the other day that was in a pagent. i mean honestly. you think youre kids not cute enouugh that u have to drown them in makeup and curl their hair/ straighten it for them to look good? does it make u feel better or something
seriously. its sick
Don't do it. It seems awful to do to little girls. Let her dress up in a princess outfit and dance around at home and with friends.

I don't see why not, but it's different from state to state so you'd have to check it out yourself. I imagine you can as long as you have licensed cosmetologists working for you.tarte

What is beauty to you is not beauty to the norm?
Of course we would like to think that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but is it really. More and more people change their perspective due to the media and the portrayed true beauty. Honestly if a girl wears no make up, ties her hair up in a pony tail and wears jeans and a t-shirt, she's the poster child for uglyness in this norm society we live in. She can't stay true to herself when the media, friends and family all push her so much, to wear some make up, wear a skirt, dress like a girl, you don't look attractive. We as humans tend to group ourselves with others, but it is hard to stand alone.
Just ranting, leave me some answers you beautyful people. What is beauty to you is not beauty to the norm?
yea exactly... i agree with u totally... the media are just reflecting the shallow mindedness of people today.. beauty to me is bringing out the confidence in you, not just by way of clothing or make up but by ur actions... u can say an exuberant personality is wat draws me towards beautiful things... yea, call it inner beauty or wat u will... to the ones who love u, u'll alwayz be beautiful... i dont give a damn about some third person and how he/she judges me cuz they dont know me a bit...
ps: i liked ur question very much..What is beauty to you is not beauty to the norm?
beauty is what on the outside it on the inside cuz you can't judge people by the way the look dress and work. It doesn't matter who you are and what you do. IT NOT WHATS ON THE OUTSIDE BUT WHATS ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS
WOW!!! You described me to a T!!! I have to say approaching 30, I still don't wear makeup, haven't dyed or highlighted my hair once and I wear Levi's, a t-shirt and vans the majority of the time!!LOL! It doesn't bother me, I don't feel pressured by society at all. Although I do have the occasion where I have to get all dressed up with all the fanfare. Those times are fun for me. I think if I did that the majority of the time it wouldn't be fun anymore. I found it funny that I read myself in this question! Beauty to me is, what's in your soul, reflected through your eyes. When you see someone and look them in the eye, their beauty or not, will reflect back to you. So genuine caring, compassion, kindness and all around good person-you will see it in their eyes.
oh wow, that was such a beautiful speeche....
I actually agree with you, too many girls are taking out loans to pay for a boob job or something similar.
We are confronted all the time with a percieved beauty and narrow minded, insecure people fall victim to this social construction all the time. I pity those who believe they aught to change thear appearance with make-up ect.
its actually quite refreshing to meet like minded people.
feel free to keep in contact if you like.
The longer you live, the easier it is to find beauty outside of what everyone else might tell you. We start to realize that the skin deep thing can only take one so far.
I've heard it said that beauty fades, and I wonder who would say such a thing. Perhaps it was a woman lamenting the loss of her tight, wrinkle-free skin or perky breasts. Or perhaps it was a cosmetics executive selling his wares to the image starved. But I believe that beauty grows. I believe that beauty flourishes as one finds strength in her or his own character.
Beauty exists within those who see the beauty in others. And you can certainly frame that beauty with glamour and glitter, but a masterpiece is still a masterpiece even with a broken, tired old frame... *smiles* or yes, a pony tail, jeans and a t-shirt.
To me, beauty is actually liking yourself for who you are, inside and out. Also, being beautiful is never letting anyone bring you down when they say that you're ugly. Beauty is whatever you think it is.

WHat does it mean when someone says you have classic beauty?
I'm confused because someone told me that and I don't know how it's different from other types of beauty. It's never really occurred to me that there were different kinds actually.WHat does it mean when someone says you have classic beauty?
classic beauty means beautiful without make up. It means you are naturally beautiful. It also means that you look classy like someone that does not not have to be blonde and blue eyed to be beautiful like in old times!WHat does it mean when someone says you have classic beauty?
okay well ya there are alot of kinds of beauty.... of course the two main ones inner beauty and then outter beauty...inner beauty is when someone judges your personality and what your like on the inside and then outter beauty is judged on appearance...such as lookin chic...slutty...glamourous...or classic for example that just means with or without makeup you look beautiful and you look almost perfect like they used to back in the old days...i hoped this helped
Classic beauty is the best you can have =] Think of a princess, they always have a classic beauty. Classic is old style, and usually means that you hold yourself well and know how to clean up.
For classic, think Marilyn Munroe..or, heres a good picture of Audrey Hepburn that illistrates it: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a229/dhonig2/Audrey20Hepburn201.jpg
What you don't want to be is a ';trashy'; beauty...take Amy Winehouse for example... or this picture http://z.hubpages.com/u/115590_f520.jpg
see the difference between them?
I could consider a classic beauty as someone who is on the natural side, and has timeless simple features .Example Natalie Portman. Not an example Pamela Anderson
Not exotic like Jessica Alba(exotic) but more like Scarlett Johannson(classic), that is the only way i can expalain it. Kate Beckinsale(classic) in Pearl Harbor as opposed to Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith(exotic). Jennifer Aniston and Meg Ryan are ';girl next door'; type girls.
A classic beauty is usually described as one of those people w/ nice skin, beautiful hair, and a gorgeous face. As of today, you dont usually see everyone like that. Ex) Audrey Hepburn, etc. (movie stars from the 20's-50's) So Ive heard
A classic beauty is a type that was beautiful many years ago ,and will still be beautiful 100 years from now.
This type of beauty will defy and outlast any trends through all time.
a timeless beauty that was considered beautiful in the past, and will always be considered beautiful as time goes on. basically like the ';mold'; for most beauty standards.
It means you don't have to wear tight fitting clothes or show of your cleavage, or wear caked on make up to look beautiful. You just have timeless and natural beauty.
it means that you are a classical beauty...you look good in classic fashion and styles.

What is the appropriate size enclosure for an adult Taiwan Beauty Ratsnake?
I'll be building an enclosure for a Taiwan Beauty Ratsnake and have read and heard a few different suggestions on minimum dimensions. These range from 50g tanks to 6' x 2' x 2'. That's quite the range! What would be most appropriate? The tanks will be built as displays, but the snake will eventually be bred.
Thanks! What is the appropriate size enclosure for an adult Taiwan Beauty Ratsnake?

Is a coral beauty angle fish good for a beginner?
I have been doing research for about two years now and last year I was pretty close to plunging into the saltwater world. I bought a 50 gallon, but then decided to wait and do some more research. Now I am not sure I want to take on a 50 gallon, althogthough I heard the bigger the easier. First I want to try with a 10 or 20 gallon with one or two fish. Clowns or a coral beauty. Is this a good idea?Is a coral beauty angle fish good for a beginner?
I am one that does not believe a smaller salt water tank is harder.
It is a lot easier to maintain and lot easier to solve a problem with a large water change. High ammonia or nitrate, do a 90% water change. which size tank you actually do this on? Get a 29 gal Oceanic bio cube. Has all the filtering systems and light for some soft coral if you want to go this route. Angels should only go in a tank thats at least a year old.Is a coral beauty angle fish good for a beginner?
the smaller you go, the harder it will be, Y?
Because the smaller the tank, water parameters change more. Making it harder.
Two ocellaris clownfish will be just fine in a 50 gallon aquarium,
Coral beauties or angelfish in general are not beginner fishes, angelfish need a special diet consisting of sponge, so you will need to be able to provide them this food.
Angelfish tend to be very aggressive to others, so if you get this, dont get another dwarf angelfish.
A 10-20 gallon saltwater tank is NOT for beginners. Go with the 50 gallon.
heyallll naw, yo man start out wid lyke a grate wite shark or sumthin man.

Can you give me some good points about child beauty pageants?
We are doing a debate at school. Please help! Can you give me some good points about child beauty pageants?
Like how beauty pageants are good? Well it could raise the children's self esteem and give them confidence, can make them friends, get them involved in something at a young age, help them learn skills needed to climb social scales, to help them learn that they're not always going to be the best at something, and help them get interview skills and public speaking skills. Can you give me some good points about child beauty pageants?
The only good point is the overbearing parents who get to watch their little girls prance around on stage dressed like 21 year olds and take credit for how cute they are. For the entire rest of the world, they're not good at all.
Good points to support it you mean? Thats a tough one.....
gives them a goal.

What do you do to prepare yourself for school beauty wise?
i go to a school that has uniforms :( so i have to concentrate on things other then clothes, and we cant where makeup... but hair or beauty treatments you do to yourself on the day before i would love to know! thanks ! ♥♥♥ xoxoWhat do you do to prepare yourself for school beauty wise?
I started back at school a week ago, and I had the same dilemma as you - I wanted to look really good for the start of a new year, but we were uniforms and arent allowed to wear makeup! So the night before i went back, I used a cleansing, softening face mask, and used spot treatment gel. My skin turned out really great, and everyone kept complementing me on it! Then I used a hair mask and tried to make my hair as nice as possible. I wore it down and straight, it looked so good and healthy! I also used a tooth whitening polish for about a week before we started back, and shaped my eyebrows the night before. All in all, I think I looked really good, and I hope you do too!
Good luck with the new term, hope this advice helps!!!

Since my hair got all frizzy during the summer, I went to a hair salon and got it straightened and layered. It's soo light now I love it! Maybe about a week, before school starts I use this Shiseido face mask thats really soothing. After I used it, my face was so vibrant and fresh-looking. That definitely helps when you have to get up at 5-6 in the morning to go to school. Some facial masks can be expensive and you can create your own! Avacado works the best, potato mixture is good too. Make sure you smell good too! Shampoo, body wash, perfume, lotion, whatever works for you, make sure you smell nice. It just might keep you awake on the first day of school! :)
Get highlights and some good mascara (good as in Dior, Benefit, Chanel...etc), it's an investment worth paying for! You're not spending money on clothes, than spend it on what you can offer! =D

Do you think beauty marks are beautiful or ugly?
I read on wikipedia that in Japan, beauty marks are regarded an ';ugly spot or blemish in ones appearance';. I personally think beauty marks are beautiful. What do you think? Where do you think the sexiest place for a beauty mark is?Do you think beauty marks are beautiful or ugly?
I think they are smexy :) I have one !It adds characther to my face and without it I just wouldn't be Stephanie O.oDo you think beauty marks are beautiful or ugly?

i have a lot of tiny ones on my face and a lot on my neck. i have a big one on the side of my left wrist. that's it tho
Well, I Have A Beauty Mark Right On One Of My Cheekbones, Its A Sort Of Love Hate Situation I Have Towards It :)
Most People Find In Pretty But Then Some Have Their Doubts.

I have a ton of ';beauty marks'; and freckles and i don't really think they're attractive or ';beautiful'; but at the same time i don't think they're really ugly or gross.
I think that their beautiful and like stephanie they do add character to the face! I have one on my lower right cheek, by my hairline and one on my upper lip. I think they are cool!
Sexiest place for the beauty mark is upper side of lips
i thought they were called bueauty marks cuz the person who had it is beautiful i have one on my foot hahaha my foot is beautiful
Beauty marks are nice, as they are natural. They are not ugly at all, they are just another part of your face. Like your nose for instance.
Beauty marks are nice.
I have one right below my left eye - people often comment.
they call them beauty marks for a reason
Yeah I have one right above my lip on the right side and a bit up, i love it.

What Kind of Beauty Regime Should I Be Doing To Protect My Face From Wrinkles, line, etc?
I am 15, but i have heard that if you look after your face/body now then it will pay off when your older. What kind of regime should i be doing, and what type of stuff should i be putting on my face. What Kind of Beauty Regime Should I Be Doing To Protect My Face From Wrinkles, line, etc?
Hi, well whoever said that to you is very right its never to young to start taking care of your skin. First thing and very important cleanse your face every night before you go to bed and as soon as you wake up. Always exfoliate at least once a week, once you have done this moisturize, I am , well I am a young mom :-) and I have been doing this since I was in junior high and every one that meets my daughter and I think we are sisters. It also helps that you don't smoke smoking for some reason speeds up the aging process of your skin. and lots of water, drink lots of water skin needs to be hydrated. Hope it makes sense to you good luck =-)What Kind of Beauty Regime Should I Be Doing To Protect My Face From Wrinkles, line, etc?
Always use sunscreen on your face. I have avoided the sun all of my life and when they started making sunscreen for the face I started using it faithfully, even in the winter. I am 45 and people guess my age to be early thirties. By the way, I smoke, I drink on occasion and I have had three children.
The best thing you can do is stay out of the sun and use mucho sunscreen all year round. This is the single, best way to protect your skin from wrinkles.
Cleanse, tone and moisturise your face and neck daily.
Don't smoke.
Don't sunbathe.
Don't have children.
Don't drink alcohol.
Do drink lots of water.
Do not use soap on your face just clean it with baby lotion in the morning and baby nightime lotion before bed. I have been doing that over 60 years and no wrinkles YETtarte

Do any of you agree with this regarding child beauty pagaents?
I just saw a picture of a child beauty queen in a ballgown and full make up, peroxide blonde hair, aged 7 years old. Do any of you find that quite vile?
I am not talking about kids painting their faces for fun or trying on their mum's (or dad's, for that matter) make-up while dressing up to play. I'm on about unfortunate children who don't get to be children, because their pathetic stage parents have them modelling from the time they can walk.
Am I the only one sickened by this?Do any of you agree with this regarding child beauty pagaents?
You are certainly not alone, it sickens me too. Why can't kids just be kids? Instead of being trained from the age of 5 to wear tons of make up and bleach their hair? It's not hard to see why there are more and more young girls out there with self esteem problems and eating disorders. I think it is quite revolting.
Playing 'dress up' at home, for fun, is one thing, and it's fine as far as I am concerned - but plastering little girls in make up and sending them out to make money from their looks is something entirely different. It is just plain wrong, in my view.Do any of you agree with this regarding child beauty pagaents?
It's the parents who push their children into things like this. They claim that they are doing it for the child but they are really doing it for themselves.
I think it's appalling!! Kids should be allowed to be kids and not dressed up like tiny tarts!!!!!!
No you are not. My sister in law used to do this with my niece. She is 9 now and about a year and a half ago she finally told her mom she hated doing it. When my neice was done for pageants she looked just like Jon Benet. It was haunting.
I think its disgusting. Little girls should be little girls and not dressed and paraded around to look like little women. There's something wrong with the parents that allow this.
I find it disturbing, I saw a documentary about these pageants a few months back and I was horrified. Little girls were dressed in bikinis and sexy outfits, they had spray on tans, full make up, false eyelashes and plastic gum shields to make them look as though they have a full set of gleaming white adult teeth (some of these little girls have teeth missing as they still have milk teeth!), they look like 30 year olds with child's bodies. Once the make up etc.. was taken off you couldn't recognise the child.
The mothers seemed to be more bothered about who won, and I was disgusted by some of their attitudes. These children are being taught to hide every imperfection at such a young age, many of them will grow up with complexes about themselves which will in turn lead to other problems in their lives.
It's sick and there should be a minimum age of at least 16 applied.
I'm so with you. It's a real pervo thing masquerading as cute. The parents are ugly, the kids scared, the people who watch indecipherably ill.
I look at that crap and I realize where the whole Britny child whore illness comes from.
It's one of our nation's uglier aspects: the destruction of innocence for lurid gain.
Sad really.
No you are not alone, its down right wrong and needs to stop. Parents that I think do this, should be investigated by social services.
I agree with Lorie. It is disgusting and disturbing. Child abuse is what it is.
But if there was no demand, there wouldn't be a supplier...
No - I am too and these parades ought to be banned - parents living through their kids and pervs hanging about - makes me want to vomit
No, you aren't the only one. I think it's disgusting.
it is disgusting and worse .....the parents force their kids into this arena (circus, whatever you want to call it) ...all i have to say is Jon Bonet Ramsey
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
i agreeeeeeeeee
no your not alone. it is not cool for the parents to put the kids into that BS. remember it's the parents that need to grow up.
I agree. I once considered asking my daughter to put my granddaughter in a pageant but I dismissed the notion without mentioning it. Everyone thinks (knows) their child is the most beautiful, the best, the smartest. And of course every child is. Why not just leave it at that?
It is disgusting and the parents have serious mental problems to put their child through that.I cannot conceive how anyone would want their child to be paraded in front of these weirdos who actually like watching them.
They should be banned and the parents charged with child abuse.
I think they are sick.
I find the whole business of child exploitation quite repulsive.
Children need to be children, not miniature versions of their Mothers.
It is almost similar to Munchhausen's syndrome by proxy, only the stupid Parents dress up their little girls like tarts, and then, of course, wonder why they develop severe mental issues when they grow up.
It is revolting and everytime i see them i wonder quite what the parents are thinking, they look like miniature barbie dolls, and i wouldn't do that to a child. What happened to letting them have fun and a proper childhood, time enough later on for that garbage.
I didn't realise just how much the belief that 'children should be seen but not heard' protected us, children should always have a guardian (parent type figure) looking out for them, but should never be made centre of attention outside the home. That was nurturing us and protecting us at the same time, allowing us to be children - play games, do silly things - have adventures, - grow up with glorious experiences behind us in safety. Thrusting children into limelight can damage - both physically and emotionally.
I am also sickened and they should be banned along with skeletons posing as ';models';
i find it disturbing and dangerous ,
yes it disgusts be also, parents interested in fame and using there children as dolls to get it, how sad is that.
Totally vile (and a few other choice words that get filtered out!)
These kids are also put under so much pressure by the parents to take part.
Don't want to sound melodramatic, but it is almost abuse.
i am in total agreement it is just awful............to thrust adult qualities upon a smal child is appalling............i have seen a documentry about these kids and find the whole thing very disturbing............remember the young beauty pagent girl who was murdered,,awful.......
I would think that it is up to the child. If my daughter wanted to be in beauty pageants then I would help her to do it. If the parents force it on their children then I agree that it is wrong but I remember my sister liking that type of thing when she was really young. I would hate to berate the parents for doing something that there child wants.
No you're not the only one.
It sends chills down my spine.
I don't agree with pageants at all. Kids should be enjoying themselves, up to their necks in muck, running about and letting their imaginations run wild.
It's bad enough you have to go through all that ';must look good'; crap when you're an adult, it's obscene to make a child go through it.
Its appalling. I saw you ask this on the USA Answers site. Found it hard to remain civil when that weirdo said they would prefer to see kids in makeup!
I am also sickened by this. It is different if you allow the child to have the freedom of ';choice'; if they were to do the pagaent stuff. Then the child can choose to quit whenever just like sports but yes i agree it is quite disturbing when parents force their childern into full blown beauty pagaents.
Whilst i disagree wit the exploitation of children you are only ';sickened'; because the PC world has told you to feel that way.

How distorted is the perception of beauty?
Everyone has an idea of how beautiful we consider a person, do you think our perception of beauty is significantly distorted?
and why?How distorted is the perception of beauty?
What ';beauty'; turns out to be is symmetry in facial structure and what is most healthy in body types. Our brain seeks such things in partners for reproduction. Advertizers have to work very hard to manipulate that image for their own purposes. How distorted is the perception of beauty?
I think women have a really distorted perception of beauty. I spend a lot of time talking about the modern woman (sort of basing my studies on this---Masters in Sociology). In my studies/conversations with older generations, the modern woman has drastically changed. Not only do their thoughts of beauty differ, but their own self perception differ dramatically. Women today have such a warped ego/self-worth that even women that most people would crudely rate 5's %26amp; 6's out of ten (if we are to rate someone that way) think of themselves as 9's. Sick, really. The ';princess syndrome'; in modern women has reached a tipping point.
Yes I do.
Times have changed. Styles have changed. So naturally, our idea of beauty have changed.
And personally, outer looks should have no say. We should look on the inside for beauty.
But sadly, as times have changed. So have the thickness of most people's skulls. They see only outer beauty and seek it instead of see who they really are.
So, most people have turned into carbon copy Barbie whores.
attractive makes you smile. children, puppies, young people.... it gives the impression of, everything is in working order, there's still time... That's why sales adds use young beautiful people all the time.
They sell it in the way that youth is perfect, and if it's not perfect there's time to fix it.
They use Ethiopian children that are skin and bone to make us feel guilty into giving up money.
It's all about have the best of everything. the man or woman on your arm looks better than the one on your arm... there fore I must be more successful at something.
I don't believe in it. I go to work everyday with my hair up and hardly any makeup on...... the price I pay is that I'm single and people move out of the way when I'm walking through a crown. I'm OK with that, dressing better and looking better does not make me a better person :)
Most of what you are talking about is Due to the Media!!! The Hot Babes, the Muscular Men, etc......... I don't pay to much attention to that! '; Beauty Is In The EYE Of The Beholder';!!!! A woman that I think is '; Drop Dead Gorgeous'; may Not be Attractive At All to Someone Else!!!!! True Beauty Cannot Be Distorted when Perceived with the Above Statement in Mind!!!
Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think we each distort beauty in our own way. Or else we can say that we define beauty in our own way. The dangerous thing is allowing others to dictate what is beautiful.
highly.
Depends on if your talking about physical beauty or inner beauty. But I believe we are a bit skewed in our ideas of physical beauty. Its set at an unbelievable high standard by unrealistic people.
and why?How distorted is the perception of beauty?

I have auditions For The Play Beauty and The Beast Next Week, What song should I sing?
I have auditions next week for the school play Beauty And The Beast, What song should I sing for auditions?
By The Way Im 14 and Im in Middle School.I have auditions For The Play Beauty and The Beast Next Week, What song should I sing?
Well, what part do you want? I always try to fit my audition song with the character I'm going for - just an added little something to help the director picture me in that role. ( I Auditioned for -and got-the part of Babette in a local production)
Anyway, No matter what song you choose - don't sing songs from popular songs like wicked. I swear, so many girls sang songs from that show at my audition and none of them could pull them off at all. they're hard songs to sing. besides, the directors are sick of the popular shows. sing nothing, i mean NOTHING, from Annie. Try not to sing a song from Beauty and the Beast, since a ton of girls will do that too. about 10 girls sang ';Home'; and not only sang the same song - but the same verse!
Most importantly, be relaxed and show some personality. this show has wonderful character parts in it - babette for instance. I get to tango with the hottest guy in the school! *smile*I have auditions For The Play Beauty and The Beast Next Week, What song should I sing?
Sing a song you can sing. It does not have to be from the musical, but be prepared to sing a song from the musical just in case. Whatever you sing bring a copy of the sheet music so that the musician knows what to play. Also make sure that the music fits the music of the play. If most of the music being played in a musical is a waltz then it does you no good to sing jazz. Also bring several different songs, sad songs happy songs, funny songs etc. That way if the director asks you to try something else you have something else instead of having to rely on the musician or director. Oh, and at the audition, be respectful to the other performers, your audition begins when you enter the door and ends when the director dismisses you from the room. And if you don't get the part approach the director and tell him you enjoyed auditioning for him and you hope you will be able to again.
You have to sing something that fits your voice and that is similar to the type of music in this musical. I'd go with a slower song, maybe something a little romantic. Also, choose a song from a musical. Some theater companies won't even allow you to audition with a pop song or a High School Musical song. A wonderful song is Goodbye, Little Dream, Goodbye from the musical anything goes. if you can, watch a video for that sone or of the song Home from Beauty and the Beast, then pick a similar song.
Something that fits your voice part...if you can sing higher I would say something from Wicked, of I loved you once in silence from Camelot. If you sing lower you could pick something from Rent or another popular musical like that. Don't go with a cheesy pop song. If you can't find anything on your own you may want to go talk to your choir teacher.
well im sure you've seen beauty and the beast right...so sing something that you think will fit the part your auditioning for..check the songs and see what you think your song should be..if it should be slow or fast or high or low...you have to know that first and once you do it wont be that hard...it's not a bad idea to actually choose a song from the play itself...
